Just one minute by car — or a relaxed ten-minute walk — brings you to the gondola of the Bad Kleinkirchheim / St. Oswald ski resort, with over 100 km of pistes, 24 lifts and the iconic Franz Klammer World Cup downhill. Ski schools, rental shops and sports stores are equally close.
The true luxury, however, is space. Wide, perfectly groomed slopes remain pleasantly uncrowded — particularly in the afternoons and outside peak holiday periods. More skiing. Less waiting.

Within around an hour, Katschberg and Nassfeld — Carinthia's largest ski resort — offer even more terrain to explore. For an extended season, the Mölltal Glacier can be reached in around 90 minutes, providing reliable high-alpine skiing well into autumn and late spring.

Well-maintained trails lead through the untouched landscapes of the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve — past alpine huts, mountain streams, waterfalls and quiet lakes, with sweeping panoramic views across the gentle peaks of the Nockberge.
At the top station of the gondola in St. Oswald, a mountain yoga trail offers a peaceful moment above the valleys. For more ambitious hikers and climbers, the region also provides demanding summit routes, rock gardens and via ferrata climbs across the surrounding mountains.
