Luxury Chalet Private Spa

An entire chalet and a private spa reserved exclusively for you throughout your stay. CHALET FALK brings together a panoramic sauna, a year-round heated outdoor pool and a relaxation room with distinctive architecture and the quiet of Austria’s Nockberge Mountains.

You arrive. Put down your luggage. Hear the gentle sound of the stream. At CHALET FALK, the panoramic sauna, the stainless-steel outdoor pool heated to 33°C and the relaxation room are yours alone throughout your stay. No shared spa. No opening hours. No other guests.

This luxury chalet with a private spa is set at 1,323 metres above sea level in St. Oswald near Bad Kleinkirchheim. At the end of a small road, directly beside the Oswalder Bach and surrounded by alpine meadows, larch forests and the gentle slopes of the Nockberge Mountains. The house opens towards the landscape, not the road.

CHALET FALK is always reserved for one group only. Up to eight guests stay in four suites with private bathrooms and have the entire house, garden and private spa to themselves. No need to coordinate with anyone else. You set the pace. Not a hotel schedule.

A private spa is different from a hotel spa

At a hotel, wellness often begins with a certain timetable. The sauna opens at a set hour, breakfast ends at another, and treatments have to be reserved. Other guests are always part of the experience.

There is no such routine at CHALET FALK. The panoramic sauna heats up when you need it. The outdoor pool is available early in the morning, after a day in the mountains or late at night. No one else takes your lounger. No one swims beside you. No one decides when your time to unwind begins.

That is the particular quality of a luxury chalet with a private spa: not simply the facilities themselves, but the freedom to use them whenever you choose, entirely undisturbed.

Step straight from the sauna onto the terrace. Stay in the warm water as the temperature falls over St. Oswald. Retreat to the relaxation room or sit by the fire later with a glass of wine. Everything is close. The day remains yours.

Private spa with panoramic sauna, outdoor pool and relaxation room

The spa at CHALET FALK is not a shared facility somewhere else in the building. It is part of the house and reserved exclusively for you and the people travelling with you.

Panoramic sauna overlooking the Nockberge Mountains

The Finnish sauna occupies a quiet part of the chalet, with a panoramic window opening onto the landscape. Wood, warmth and views of alpine meadows and mountains define the space. No background music, organised programme or changing guests.

After the sauna, the terrace and garden are only a few steps away. To cool down, step into the fresh mountain air or walk down to the Oswalder Bach. The clear mountain stream runs directly beside the property and offers a natural place for Kneipp-style cold-water immersion after the heat of the sauna.

Year-round heated stainless-steel outdoor pool

The 6.5 × 3.4-metre stainless-steel pool is heated to approximately 33°C throughout the year. Three integrated hydrotherapy loungers help the body settle. A counter-current system provides space for exercise whenever you feel like moving.

In winter, steam rises from the water while snow lies across the garden. In summer, the pool remains a quiet centre of the house long into the evening. During spring and autumn, it brings together the warmth of the private spa and the clear air at 1,323 metres.

The outdoor pool is not a seasonal extra. It is part of every stay, at any time of year.

Relaxation room and space for movement

Suspended loungers sit in the warm wooden light of the relaxation room. The space is deliberately understated. No background music, timetable or reception desk. Just a protected place between the sauna, pool and garden.

A separate yoga and training deck provides space for yoga, mobility exercises or a quiet workout. Depending on the weather, sessions can take place inside the house, on the terrace or outdoors. Private yoga sessions and massages can also be arranged directly at the chalet.

A luxury chalet with a private spa for up to eight guests

Privacy requires space. Particularly when several people are travelling together.

CHALET FALK offers around 250 square metres of living space across three levels, four suites with private bathrooms, generous shared areas and quiet places to retreat throughout the house. There are also more than 200 square metres of terraces and balconies, along with a garden of approximately 1,600 square metres.

Up to eight guests can live, cook and use the spa together without closeness becoming confinement. Every suite has its own door. Every bedroom has a private bathroom with a rain shower, dimmable lighting and carefully selected materials.

For couples, the chalet becomes an exceptionally spacious private retreat. Families have room for shared days and quiet evenings. Groups of friends can spend time together without giving up their privacy. Smaller leadership teams also use the chalet, its fast Wi-Fi and its quiet setting for focused stays that combine a workation with genuine time to unwind.

The private spa always remains exclusive, whether two, four or eight guests are staying at the chalet.

Alpine Japandi: architecture that creates calm

CHALET FALK is neither a traditional mountain hut nor a hotel dressed in chalet style. Its architecture follows a different approach.

Alpine warmth meets Japanese clarity. Reclaimed wood, lime plaster, linen, natural stone, wide wooden floorboards and black steel elements create a calm and coherent interior. The materials are allowed to speak without demanding attention.

An approximately eleven-metre-wide glass façade in the lounge opens the view across the garden, stream and Nockberge Mountains. The open fireplace gives the living space warmth and structure. Kitchen, dining area and lounge flow into one another while retaining their own character.

After a day in the mountains or beside one of the lakes, you do not return to a room. You return to a house that belongs entirely to you. No corridor filled with other voices. No hotel lobby. No room number.

Only light, fire, wood and the view outside.

Between the Nockberge Mountains, ski slopes and Carinthian lakes

CHALET FALK is located in St. Oswald, above Bad Kleinkirchheim and in the heart of the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. The landscape is open, quiet and accessible throughout the year.

The nearest entry point to the Bad Kleinkirchheim–St. Oswald skiing and hiking area is approximately one minute away by car or around ten minutes on foot. Hiking paths and mountain-bike routes begin directly beside the house.

During summer, the chalet’s location at 1,323 metres brings pleasantly fresh evenings even after warm days. Lake Millstatt, Lake Afritz and Lake Brennsee can be reached in approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Lake Wörthersee, Lake Faaker See and Lake Weissensee are also within reach for day trips.

Golf guests benefit from included green fees at Bad Kleinkirchheim Golf Club. The Alpe-Adria Golf Card also provides access to numerous courses across the wider Alpe-Adria region.

The chalet is therefore not an isolated place with nothing to do. It is a quiet base from which a great deal remains within reach. How much or how little you choose to do is entirely up to you.

Four seasons, one private retreat

In winter, the contrast is particularly clear: snow and crisp mountain air outside; fire, sauna and warm water inside. After a day of skiing, you do not return to a public wellness area. You walk directly into your own private spa.

In spring, the days grow longer. The first warm hours belong to the terrace, while the cool mornings invite time in the sauna. The alpine meadows and garden slowly turn green again, even as snow remains on the higher slopes.

In summer, hiking, cycling and excursions to Carinthia’s lakes alternate with quiet hours at the house. The stream cools the surrounding air, while the pool remains warm until late in the evening.

In autumn, the paths become quieter and the larch trees turn gold. The relaxation room, sauna and long evenings beside the fire take on a different significance.

The house changes with the seasons. Its quiet centre remains.

Personal hosting, without the hotel routine

At CHALET FALK, you receive the attention of a privately managed house without having to adapt to the routines of a hotel.

Your host welcomes you personally whenever possible, introduces you to the house and remains available by WhatsApp or telephone throughout your stay. Discreetly in the background and present whenever support is needed.

Additional services can be arranged on request:

  • Private chef at the chalet
  • Massages and private yoga sessions
  • Ski, hiking and mountain-bike guides
  • Transfers and restaurant reservations
  • Additional cleaning and linen changes
  • Heliskiing, panoramic flights and hot-air balloon rides

Everything is possible. Nothing is required.

Good service is not defined by constant presence. It means making things straightforward when they are needed and leaving you in peace when they are not.

Breakfast and dining at your own pace

Fresh breakfast is delivered to the chalet each morning. Bread rolls, cold cuts, cheese and changing additions arrive at the door, without requiring you to follow fixed breakfast hours.

Selected essentials are already waiting in the kitchen when you arrive, including coffee, tea, organic milk, butter, eggs, cereals and preserves. Breakfast happens when it suits your day: together at the large dining table, outside on the terrace or after the first swim of the morning.

The open-plan designer kitchen is fully equipped for cooking together and equally suited to a private chef. On request, the chef prepares and serves a tailored menu directly at the chalet. No journey to a restaurant and no unfamiliar surroundings.

For evenings away from the house, the area around Bad Kleinkirchheim offers traditional inns, mountain huts, selected Slow Food restaurants and dining beside Carinthia’s lakes.

Recognised, without relying on awards

In 2026, CHALET FALK was named “Lieblingschalet” by Mein Tophotel in the Facilities category. The chalet was also shortlisted for the 2025 bsw Pool Award and recognised among the leading private pool projects.

It has additionally been featured in travel, design and wellness publications including Falstaff Travel, FOUR Magazine and Haus & Wellness.

These distinctions are not intended to stage the experience. They confirm the quality of the architecture, facilities and private spa. What ultimately matters is how the house feels when you are there yourself.

Who CHALET FALK is made for

CHALET FALK is intended for guests who do not consider peace and privacy to be optional extras.

For couples looking for an exceptional amount of space to themselves. For families and friends who travel together without needing to share every moment. For people who deliberately avoid public wellness areas, large resorts and tightly scheduled hotel programmes.

Children aged eight and above are welcome. The open fireplace, pool, different levels and stream beside the property require responsible supervision.

Pets cannot be accommodated out of consideration for guests with allergies. Party groups and events that do not suit the quiet character of the house are not accepted.

Arrive and settle into your own rhythm

A week gives the stay time to find its natural pace. Enough for days in the mountains or beside the lakes. Enough for evenings by the fire. Enough for early sauna sessions and late hours in the warm pool.

You do not need to experience something every day for the day to feel well spent. Sometimes, staying at the house is enough.

The stream passes the garden. The fire is burning. The pool is warm. And no one is waiting for you to make room.
